Attempt to Elude, Jan. 18

News release CCSO.  On January 14, 2017, at about 0907 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were patrolling the Blue Ridge Trail Riding Area, east of Coos Bay when they encountered a red Ford Taurus sedan with three occupants.  When the Deputy made contact with the male driver, he refused to identify himself and ultimately fled the scene on foot.  The male was positively identified as Jorge Figueroa Jr., 26 YOA, last known address on file, in Salem, Oregon.  A K9 track was initiated, but was unsuccessful. The other two occupants of the vehicle, Nicole Bramhall, 34 YOA, last address on file from Lakeside, Oregon and 29 year old Kayla Griffey, address in file of Gold Beach, consented to a search of the vehicle.  During the search of the vehicle, methamphetamine and methamphetamine smoking and ingestion devices were located.  Also located was a set of license plates reported stolen by Coos Bay Police Department on January 13, 2017.  Kayla Griffey and Nicole Bramhall were both cited in lieu of custody for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.  Griffey and Bramhall will additionally be referred to the Coos County District Attorney’s Office for Theft by Receiving in connection with the license plates.  Jorge Figueroa will be referred to the Coos County District Attorney’s Office for Elude on Foot, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Theft by Receiving.  Figueroa also had multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants out for his arrest.  Jorge Figueroa is still outstanding, if anyone one sees him, or is aware of his whereabouts, please contact the Coos County Sheriff’s Office at 541-396-7830 or 541-396-2106.
