News release CCSO. On 05/09/2017 at approximately 12:15 am, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle travelling southbound on Highway 101 near the Saunders lake area at speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour. Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle which made an abrupt U Turn and headed back North on Highway 101. The vehicle did not yield to the emergency lights and sirens and continued fleeing away from the pursuing Deputies at speeds again in excess of 90 miles per hour. The vehicle continued back and forth on Highway 101 between milepost 226 and Wildwood Road making multiple abrupt and dangerous U turns. During one of the U turns, the vehicle nearly missed hitting one of the police vehicles head on. The vehicle ultimately turned onto Wildwood Road and continued south on Wildwood Road at speeds of approximately 50 miles per hour. The vehicle continued south on Wildwood Road before turning into the Ocean Pines RV Park, located at 69262 Wildwood Road, North Bend, Coos County, Oregon. The driver sped through the RV Park before turning into a driveway and fleeing on foot. One of the Deputies observed the female suspect who was later identified as Alison Morgan run into a residence at the RV Park. Morgan locked the owner of the trailer out of her home and hid inside the trailer. With the consent of the homeowner, Deputies forced entry into the RV. With assistance from Oregon State Police and the homeowner, entry to the RV was made. Morgan was located hiding in the bathroom of the trailer and arrested on charges of Attempt to Elude in a Vehicle, Attempt to Elude on Foot, Reckless Driving, Recklessly Endangering and Interfering with a Peace Officer. Alison Morgan was transported to the Coos County Jail where she was lodged on $60,000.00 bail and issued citations for multiple traffic violations.
