Coos Bay Public Library will be holding an Author Talk featuring Oregon author Sue DeMarinis, who will present on her new book, The Station Master’s Wife: A Scandalous Life Exposed. After the presentation, the author will have books available to sell and sign. This free event will be held on Monday, September 30 at 2:00pm in the library’s Myrtlewood Room and is open to all members of the public. In her new novel, author Sue DeMarinis has written a fictionalized story woven from the history of some very real people and events. It features recognizable locations in Oregon, including Coos Bay and the Rogue Valley, and characters such as the inventor of the Curve Ball and a Coos Bay lumber baron who made his fortune rebuilding San Francisco after the earthquake of 1906. Sue DeMarinis, a retired chiropractor and budding author, lives with her teenage daughter in Ashland. For more information about this program, please contact the library at (541) 269-1101.
