BACC  release – Customer service is key to the vitality of our community. Businesses strive every day to not only meet, but exceed their customer’s needs. Have you had an outstanding customer service experience at a local store or restaurant that made you want to tell everyone about it? It’s that kind of service the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce will honor each quarter with its new 5 Star Customer Service Awards. The nominations will be evaluated by the Chamber’s Executive committee. Quarterly awards will be given at our weekly Wednesday Business Connection luncheon. A yearly award for outstanding customer service will be chosen from the year’s winners and given at the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet. There is no guarantee, however, that there will be an award for each quarter. Our forms have been simplified to make it much easier for you to share your excellent shopping experience. There three sections to help you detail nomination. These include: 1. A Commitment to Customer Service—how did this business focus on you, the customer, and make your experience memorable? 2. Customer Follow up & Product Satisfaction – Was the service or product of the highest quality and did the business continue to aid and support you following the purchase?  3. Additional Comments– What other aspects of this shopping experience made it especially outstanding, like people, location, facility, stock or what? Our purpose is to honor those businesses that really focus on the customer and ensure that you want to return. Nomination forms can be found on the Chamber website, www.oregonsbayarea.org , or stop by the BACC office in Coos Bay. Let’s recognize and celebrate great customer service!
