The Oregon State Police in conjunction with the Baker County District Attorney’s Office is continuing its investigation into the death of an inmate from the Baker County Jail. Preliminary information is that on May 9th, 2015 at about 3:30PM, Baker County Jail Staff became aware that inmate JOSHUA G PANTLE, 28, was having medical issues. Jail staff began medical care on PANTLE and he was transported to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Baker City where he died. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday with the State Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation is continuing and more information will be released at a later time.
