Bandon Dunes developer Mike Keiser is reportedly interested in property on the North Oregon Coast for a possible golf resort. Keiser has been in talks with Portland-based Cascade Pacific Council of Scouts about developing 200 beachfront acres south of Netarts for an 18-hole course. The Scouts own a little less than 800-acres in Tillamook County and operate the Mericwether and Clark camps for annual Scouting trips to the Coast. The proposal has sparked controversy especially from Scouts who want to maintain the camps as is. Scouting officials say the discussion with Keiser is preliminary.
