The FBI is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating a man believed responsible for two separate bank robberies just this week. The first robbery happened on Monday, April 28th at about 11:10 am at the Umpqua Bank branch located at 1790 Garden Valley Boulevard in Roseburg. The second robbery happened at about 10:30 am on Friday, May 2nd when a man matching the same description robbed the U.S. Bank branch located at 3485 Commercial Street SE in Salem. In both cases, the man walked into the bank, approached the teller’s desk, threatened that he had a weapon and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.  No one was physically hurt in either robbery.  Witnesses describe the man as:  Race: White; Age: 40’s to 50’s; Height: 5’6″ – 5’10”; Weight: 160-180 pounds; Hair: Dark Clothing: In the first robbery, he was wearing a dark colored jacket, blue jeans, a baseball cap and sneakers. In the second robbery, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the word “Oregon” on the front.  The FBI is investigating these robberies in partnership with the Roseburg Police Department and the Salem Police Department.  Anyone with information about the man’s identity or his location is asked to call the FBI at (503) 362-6601 (in Salem); (541) 343-5222 (in Eugene); or your local police.
