U.S. Bank is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individuals responsible for committing any bank robberies at any U.S. Bank branch – including the May 2nd robbery of a branch located at 3485 Commercial Street SE in Salem. The FBI is still seeking tips from the public in the effort to identify and locate the man who is believed to be responsible for that robbery as well as another robbery that happened on April 28th at the Umpqua Bank branch located at 1790 Garden Valley Boulevard in Roseburg. In both cases, the man walked into the bank, approached the teller’s desk, threatened that he had a weapon and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was physically hurt in either robbery. Witnesses describe the man as: Race: White; Age: 40s to 50s; Height: 5’6″-5’10”; Weight: 160-180 pounds; Hair: Dark Clothing: In the first robbery, the man was wearing a dark colored jacket, blue jeans, a baseball cap and sneakers. In the second robbery, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the word “Oregon” on the front.
