The male who stole a Horizon Air passenger plane from SeaTac Airport at Seattle, WA Friday night and fatally crashed it 75-minutes later in an isolated area, lived in the Coos Bay/North Bend area while attending college. Richard Russell was identified as the ground service agent who took the plane on a joy ride before crashing it on a remote island in the Puget Sound. He attended Wasilla High School in Alaska before attending college in Coos Bay in 2010. He met his wife here and the two opened a bakery at 1948 Sherman Ave. They operated it from 2011 to 2015. Russell worked for Horizon Air for three-an-a-half years.
