CORVALLIS – The 2019 Oregon State football season opens with a prime time game Friday, August. 30 as the Beavers host the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on FS1. The Friday night matchup is one of eight games on the Football Bowl Subdivision schedule for that day and is the lone matchup between Power 5 teams. The Cowboys are the first team from the Big XII Conference to play at Reser Stadium since a 1998 visit by Baylor. The season opener features a “young alumni” ticket offer. OSU alums who have graduated within the last five years can purchase tickets for $34. Kickoff for the Sept. 14 non-conference home game vs. Cal Poly will be at 1:15 p.m. and air on the Pac-12 Network. OSU Athletics is honoring teachers/staff members, military families and first responders with special ticket offers. The Extra Yard for Teachers initiative features teachers and school staff members receiving one free ticket with a companion ticket for $24. Military personnel, active duty and veterans, and first responders will receive complimentary tickets with additional admission at a discounted rate. In addition, OSU’s Friday night game with Pacific Northwest rival Washington is Friday, Nov. 8 with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on FS1. OSU Athletics will celebrate Family Weekend, host Veterans Appreciation Day (same ticket policy as the Cal Poly game), have a military aircraft flyover, and display a field-sized United States flag for the National Anthem. Game times for the rest of the season will be determined during the course of the year. The contest at Hawai’i, Sept. 7, will be announced in the near future by the Mountain West Conference.
