OSU release – FLORENCE, Italy – The Oregon State men’s basketball team departed Milan after spending the first three days of its Italian Trip in the city. The Beavers ultimately made their way to Florence, but first made a stop in Venice to explore one of the most iconic cities in all of Europe. OSU’s visit to Venice began with a walking tour, featuring the famous Saint Mark’s square. From there the team had the opportunity to explore the city on their own, before returning to the bus. Oregon State made one more stop on its journey, taking a break for dinner before finally arriving in Florence. OSU will play its first game of the tour tomorrow, and will spend the next few days in Florence before heading to Rome – the team’s final destination of the tour. The Beavers are scheduled to play two more games during the trip (there is a nine-hour time difference from Corvallis to Italy): Aug. 23 – Oregon State vs. Stella Azzurra – 9 a.m. PT (6 p.m. CET); Aug. 25 – Oregon State vs. Latina – 9 a.m. PT (6 p.m. CET).
