Stating a desire to spend more time with family and friends, Joe Benetti has decided to retire from the restaurant he established in downtown Coos Bay 38-years ago and turn the business over to new owners. Benetti’s has been a staple of fine Italian dining in the Bay Area. In September the transition will begin with the new owners master chef Eoghain O’Neill and Dr. Rika Cruz taking over. Benetti’s will be renamed “Restaurant O” and will reopen in November.
