Big game regulation meetings held in southern Oregon, July 12

Public meetings to discuss 2019 Big Game Hunting Regulations are being held around southern Oregon. Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife biologists will discuss proposed changes for the 2019 hunting season and proposals to simplify regulations, including one to change the Southwest first-come, first served spring bear hunt to a controlled hunt consistent with all other spring bear hunts in Oregon. Public comment will be taken at the meetings and biologists are available to answer questions. Final 2019 Big Game Hunting Regulations will be adopted at the September 14 Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting in Bandon.
