The annual Blessing of the Fleet service and the adding of new names to the Fishermen’s Memorial in Charleston will take place this morning, Monday, May 25, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 11:00 am at the Memorial in the Charleston Boat Basin. According to a news release, “The annual Charleston Fisherman’s Memorial and Blessing of the Fleet will take place in the Charleston Boat Basin. Names added to the memorial will be read and flowers in memory will be taken to sea by the US Coast Guard. The South Coast Pipes and Drums will play.
