The Coos Bay District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) sold 1.4 million board feet of timber Friday during an oral auction.  The timber is located on Oregon and California (O&C) railroad grant lands in Douglas County. Seneca Sawmill Company of Eugene, Oregon was the high bidder for the Devils 29 commercial thin timber sale, and they purchased the timber for $423,938. The sale was appraised at $343,945.10. There were three other qualified bidders. Receipts from timber sold on Bureau of Land Management O&C lands are shared with the 18 western counties in Oregon that contain O&C lands.
