ODF release – SALEM, Ore. — Since October 2022, the Board of Forestry and the State Forester committed to enhancing the governance of the board as well as the organization. Work sessions throughout 2023 allowed the board to develop the governance expectations, policy statements, and format for this draft manual. Aim is with well-crafted governance policies lead to greater achievement of organizational mission, goals, and effective board work. The board welcomes feedback from the public on the draft governance policy and requests all submissions to be received by 5 p.m. (PST) on Monday, Jan. 15.
