On 04/06/2015 at about 08:38 AM, Coos County 911 Center in Coquille received a call on a 911 line from an unidentified male caller stating he “had placed 2 bombs in the Coos County Courthouse…”. Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies, Coquille Police and EMS crews responded and evacuated the Courthouse. A number of the courts were open and in session and had to be evacuated, with eventually all offices of the courthouse being evacuated. The call was only specific to the Courthouse and no other county buildings were affected. While police personnel cleared the building many of the Courthouse staff and public had to wait outside in the rain. The Courthouse was eventually cleared and open back up to the public at 9:15 AM.
