News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 04/11/2015 at about 9:46 AM, Coos County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a disturbance on Lampa Ln. west of Myrtle Point. As the call was coming in the caller reported that they had returned home to their residence and discovered suspicious subjects at their house. The callers reported that they had seen a vehicle the subjects were in and were able to give a description of that vehicle. Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies, Coquille Police and Oregon State Police Troopers responded to the call. From the investigation it was determined that a burglary had occurred at the residence on Lampa Lane. Coquille Police Officers that were assisting located the suspect vehicle, a white 1994 Honda Civic in the community of Riverton on Hwy 42S and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Officer identified the suspect as 25 year old Jeremy Norris of Myrtle Point. Mr. Norris was arrested and charged with Burglary I and Theft III, he was transported to the Coos County Jail and booked. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the victims.
