News release CCSO. On 05/03/2017 at about 1256 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 95494 Carlson Heights Road, North Bend, Oregon for a report of a burglary that had just occurred. The homeowner reported the suspect’s vehicle was stuck in a neighbor’s driveway and the suspect, Melody Miller was still with the vehicle. Upon the deputies arrival they detained 41 year old Myrtle Point resident, Melody Miller. As a result of the investigation numerous items that had been taken from the residence of Mr. Shay, the victim, were found in Ms. Miller’s possession. Melody Miller was arrested and charged with Burglary 1, Theft 1, of Mr. Shay’s residence and Criminal Trespass 2 for being on the property of the neighbor without permission. Ms. Miller was taken to the Coos County Jail where she was booked and lodged. Miller is being held, in lieu of $127,500 bail.
