CCSO release – Date / Time: March 2, 2023, at 1:27 p.m.; Case Number(s): S23-04818; Classification: Burglary I, Assault IV; Location: 62678 Seven Devils Road, Coos Bay, Oregon 97420; Suspect(s): Jenkins, Willie Joe (48); Information to be released: On March 2, 2023, at approximately 1:27 p.m. the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of an assault which had occurred on Seven Devils Road. Deputy Mong was dispatched to the emergency room at Bay Area Hospital to contact the victim who was being treated for injuries sustained in the incident. The victim stated he was assaulted by a male suspect, when the suspect had unlawfully entered his (victims) residence on Seven Devils Road. During the investigation the suspect was identified as Willie J. Jenkins (48) years of age of Bandon. Deputy Mong and a member of the Coos County Parole and Probation Department responded to Mr. Jenkins residence, also on Seven Devils Road to interview him about the incident. After speaking with Mr. Jenkins he was arrested on the charges of burglary I, and assault IV. Willie J. Jenkins was transported to the Coos County Jail where he was booked.
