Burglary Suspect in Custody, Oct. 30

News release from CBPD. On 10/29/15 at approximately 0140 hours, officers from the Coos Bay Police Department responded to a business alarm at Far West Tires located at 1555 6th Street, Coos Bay. When officers arrived they observed a hole cut in the fence of the business’s Storage compound. As officers began their check of the area, they located a male suspect hiding in some brush just outside of the compound. During their investigation, officers located evidence that indicated the male, identified as 53 year old Coos Bay resident Malio Favalora, had entered the compound and was in the process of stealing items when officers arrived. Favalora was taken into custody for Burglary II, Theft I, and Criminal Mischief II.
