Burn Ban North Bend, Oct. 17

Effective immediately, the City of North Bend is temporarily suspending all burning within North Bend City limits due to smoke inundation from wildfires south of this area. The ban will remain in effect until the smoke condition abates. All burn permits issued by the City of North Bend and still current should be retained as they will continue to be valid after the ban is lifted. However, until such time as the smoke condition dissipates and the ban is lifted, there shall be no burning allowed within North Bend City even if a citizen has a current burn permit. Citizens witnessing burning during this period when smoke inundation is present, may report it by calling the North Bend City Fire Department directly at 541-756-7757 and selecting option 1. Others desiring more information about the burning ban may contact the fire chief directly at his desk by calling 541-756-8580.
