News release City of Coos Bay. The Coos Bay Fire Department is offering Coos Bay businesses the opportunity to learn more about how to practice “Business Fire Safety”. The training will be presented at the Coos Bay Fire Department located at 450 Elrod Avenue on November 17, 2016 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This training will include both classroom presentations and hands-on demonstrations. Topics that will be covered include: • What to look for on the exterior of your business; • Portable fire extinguishers; • Fire suppression systems & alerting devices; • Electrical requirements; • Exits; • What to do in the event of an emergency or disaster.
