ODFW release – EAGLE POINT, Ore. – Young hunters have a chance to win one of five spring youth turkey hunts on the C2 Ranch near Medford. The C2 Cattle Company, in partnership with ODFW’s Access and Habitat Program and the Rogue Valley Chapter of the Oregon Hunters Association offers this opportunity to youth 17 and under. Register by 11:59 p.m. Mar. 1. Winners will be notified by Mar. 3. To be eligible, hunters must be 17 or under on the day of the hunt, have a valid hunting license, and a spring turkey tag. Youth hunters enrolled in the Mentored Youth Hunter Program can apply but cannot hunt youth weekend (Apr. 8-9). Successful applicants have three days of access to the C2 Ranch. A parent or other unarmed adult may accompany the youth hunter. The Ranch will coordinate the three-day hunts and try to accommodate requests for hunting dates to the best of their ability. The spring youth hunt is April 8-9, and the general spring turkey season is April 15-May 31. The C2 Cattle Company is a 10,000 acre ranch located 25 minutes east of Medford. C2 is a conservation minded cattle ranch that has a vision of preserving the land and natural resources including wild game, while running a working cattle ranch.
