Event Date: October 14, 2023; Event Description: Witness the mesmerizing “Ring of Fire” as the annular solar eclipse graces the skies of North, Central, and South America. This rare celestial event, where the Moon, at its farthest from Earth, creates a stunning ring effect around the Sun, will be visible along parts of the Central and Southern Oregon Coast, including Coos Bay, North Bend, and Charleston. The eclipse will commence shortly after 8 a.m., reaching its peak “annularity” at 9:18 a.m. Don’t miss this once-in-a-generation spectacle, not to be seen again until 2041!
