Bornstein Seafoods has posted a notice on the Food and Drug Administration website stating a recall of cans of fish produced on the North Oregon Coast over concerns that they’re contaminated with botulishm. Cans of Salmon, Sardines, Sturgeon and Tuna have been pulled. They were made by Skipanon Brand Seafoods of Warrenton. During a recent FDA inspection it was discovered that the cans were potentially under processed, which can cause botulism. A blanket recall was immediately announced by Skipanon. No illnesses have been reported, but botulism symptoms include weakness, dizziness, double-vision and trouble with speaking or swallowing.
