A 2.6-magnitude earthquake was recorded near Cape Mendocino in Northern California Thursday, Aug. 27, where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 6:09 p.m. and was located 24-miles south to southeast of Eureka, CA.
