A magnitude 2.6 earthquake shook an area near Cape Mendocino in Northern California Sunday, Feb. 23, where two fault lines enter the Pacific Ocean from California and then head north to run parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U. S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 10:04 a.m., west of Eureka, CA in the Pacific Ocean.
