A 2.7-magnitude earthquake shook the Cape Mendocino area of Northern California early Friday morning, March 7.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 3:25 a.m., 39-miles south to southwest where two fault lines enter the Pacific Ocean and eventually turn north to run parallel with the Oregon Coast.
