A 3.6-magnitude earthquake shook the Cape Mendocino area of Northern California where two fault lines begin and eventually turn parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 11:06 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9, and was located 66-miles west to southwest of Eureka, CA.
