BROOKINGS – Motorists on Oregon 255 (Carpenterville Highway) should expect 20 minute delays the weeks of August 17-21 and August 24-28 due to a chip seal project. The project, a joint effort by ODOT and Curry County, will resurface the final 12 miles at the south end of the highway (milepost 350-362). Construction is scheduled Monday to Friday each week, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Flaggers and pilot cars will be used to provide traffic control. Motorists are advised to slow down and drive with caution to avoid kicking up loose rock during construction.
