The City of Coos Bay has contracted with Benny Hempstead Excavating, Inc. to perform a sewer line replacement project along vacated N 3rd Street between Park Avenue and Highland Avenue. This line is badly damaged due to its age, and it is in need of replacement to help ensure the sewer line is in good working conditions for years to come. This work will require street closures and detours for the duration of the project. A portion of Highland Avenue between N 3rd Street to N 2nd Street will be closed for construction starting September 10, 2014 through September 16, 2014.
