News release City of Coos Bay. Notification of this project was sent out previously however, this announcement provides updated information. The City of Coos Bay authorized Billeter Marine, LLC to perform a storm sewer line replacement project on North 4th Street between Commercial Avenue and Central Avenue. The crew will perform exploratory work on Friday, July 15th and commence with construction on or about August 1st for approximately three weeks. For safety reasons, the southbound lane on North 4th Street between Commercial Avenue and Central Avenue will be closed throughout the duration of work. Southbound traffic will be detoured around the project site. Drivers should anticipate traffic delays. The construction crew will take all precautions and necessary actions to minimize the disturbance to surrounding businesses and vehicles. Parking on street along North 4th Street and Commercial Avenue will be restricted during the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. The Street will be open at the end of each day after 6:00 pm and during the weekend. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to please exercise caution within the construction zone and detour area.
