Robbery Suspect, Marple St., Coos Bay

Man arrested on an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop in Coos Bay. On April 24, 2023, at 5:34 p.m. Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy Z. Smith was patrolling down S. Marple Street in Coos Bay when he saw a blue Ford Ranger driven by Kaleb Harris (34) whom Deputy Smith recognized. Deputy Z. Smith attempted to conduct a traffic stop of the vehicle for a traffic violation. Mr. Harris briefly attempted to elude in his vehicle and subsequently parked the pickup on a property not belonging to him. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center advised that Mr. Harris had an active Warrant for his arrest out of Jackson County. Mr. Harris was issued a citation for driving while suspended violation and driving uninsured. Mast Brothers towed Mr. Harris’ vehicle from the property it was left at, as the owners told law enforcement did not want the pickup left on the property and nobody had permission to park there. Kaleb Harris (34) was arrested on the outstanding warrant and transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and released on his own recognizance.
