Assault IV Lakeside
News release CCSO.  On Friday August 18, 2017, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Lakeside Cemetery on Spinreel Road for a report of a female subject who had been assaulted. Through the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as Patrick Paul Freehill. Mr. Freehill was located in a 5th wheel trailer on Jacobsen Road in Lakeside and arrested without incident. Freehill was charged with one count of Domestic Assault IV. Freehill also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Mr. Freehill was transported to the Coos County Jail where he was booked and lodged without incident. Freehill is currently held in the Coos County Jail without bail.

Meth Bunker Hill
News release CCSO.  On 08/20/2017 at about 0959 hours, a Coos County Deputy was patrolling the Bunker Hill district of Coos Bay. The Deputy observed a suspicious vehicle near Bay Park Lane and 2nd Street Loop, which was partially blocking the narrow road. The Deputy checked the car and the sole occupant of the vehicle, later identified as Robert Connolly, appeared to be asleep in the passenger seat. The Deputy recognized Mr. Connolly and called him by name, arousing him from his false sleep and asked him to exit the vehicle. After a consensual search of his person, a small baggie with meth residue and a methamphetamine smoking device was located on Mr. Connolly. Robert was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine, and was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Robert is also on probation for a previous methamphetamine charge, the new methamphetamine charge violated his probation, and he was also arrested on a probation violation. Robert was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and released. The vehicle was towed from the scene as it was a road hazard.

Domestic Harassment
News release CCSO.  On 08-20-2017, Coos County Sheriff Deputies arrested 29 year old Coos Bay resident, Jennifer Walker, for Domestic Harassment on Chamberlin Road in Coos Bay. Jennifer Walker caused physical injury to her boyfriend, Christopher Bricker. Jennifer Walker was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail.
