Warrant Service
News release CCSO. On August 4th, 2017 at approximately 2022 hours, Deputies were traveling south bound on Bastendorff Beach Road, Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon when they observed Charles Duane Knaus walking south bound. Deputies recognized Charles and confirmed with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center that Charles had an active warrant out for his arrest. Charles was taken into custody and transported to the Coos County Jail without incident. Charles booked on a single warrant charging Criminal Trespass in the 1st Degree and Theft in the 3rd Degree. Charles bail was set at $12,500.
Assault Lakeside
News release CCSO. On August 4th, 2017 at approximately 2313 hours, deputies responded to 175 N 14th Street, Lakeside, Coos County, Oregon for a report of an assault. Deputies contacted the victim, Kimberley Morris, who advised she was attacked by Ellen Malmquist. Deputies learned through the course of their investigation the dispute was over bills. Deputies contacted Ellen Malmquist who was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Coos County Jail. Ellen Malmquist was booked on the charge of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Ellen Malmquist’s bail was set at $10,000.
VRO Lakeside
News release CCSO. On August 5, 2017 at approximately 5:46 p.m. Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 71916 Cascade Lane in the Lakeside area to a report of a violation of a restraining order in progress. Ms. Mary Caswell had a long standing restraining order against Mr. Dennis Pollock. Ms. Caswell allowed Mr. Pollock to come to her home to get an inner tube. Ms. Caswell went to retrieve the inner tube and a heated argument ensued. Even though she had invited him over to retrieve the inner tube he wanted, it was a violation of the court ordered restraining order. After an investigation Deputies arrested Dennis L. Pollock 51 YOA of Lakeside Oregon on the charge of Violation of a Restraining Order. Mr. Pollock was transported to the Coos County Jail on the charge of VRO and was booked and is being held on $7,500 bail.
