Assault IV
CCSO news release.  On 12/13/2017 at approximately 1:22 am, Coos County Deputies responded to the report of an assault on Idaho Drive in Coos Bay. Coos County dispatch received a call from 21-year old Caitlin Teves, Coos Bay, who stated she had just been assaulted by her boyfriend, 29-year old Warren Lyons, Coos Bay. After Deputies arrived at about 1:52 am, they first spoke to Warren, who had visible injuries to his face. Deputies later made contact with Caitlin and observed similar injuries on her as well as an injury to her hand. After the investigation was concluded, both Warren and Caitlin were arrested for Assault 4 Domestic. Warren was also charged with Probation Violation. Warren and Caitlin were transported to Coos County Jail, where they are being held in lieu of $10,000 bail. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office was also assisted in the investigation by the Oregon Department of Human Services Child Welfare.

Reckless Driving
CCSO news release.  On 12/13/2017 at approximately 5:27am, Coos County Deputies responded to the report of reckless driving at Cape Arago and Windy Lane in Coos Bay. Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a silver van, following a man down Cape Arago Highway attempting to get him into the vehicle while driving recklessly. The individual who reported the driving behavior stated the van had departed the area towards Coos Bay. While driving on Newmark, near Broadway in North Bend, Deputies observed the van traveling at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles recklessly. Deputies were able to catch up to the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop. Deputies arrested 37-year old Ashley Jones, Coos Bay, for Reckless Driving. Ashley was transported to the Coos County Jail for the above charge and was also issued a citation.
