Warrant Service
News release CCSO.  On July 12th, 2017 at approximately 0023 hours, Deputies were dispatched to 91718 Cape Arago Highway, Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon. It was reported two individuals were walking with flash lights on the property of a vacant residence and there was a vehicle in the driveway. Deputies contacted Aaron Curtis Lott and Codie Lee Lott. Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center advised the deputies Aaron had two active warrants out for his arrest. The warrants were charging Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and two counts of Failure to Appear in the Second Degree. Aaron was transported to the Coos County Jail and lodged without further incident. Bail was set at $22,500.00.

Felon Possession Firearm
News release CCSO.  On 07/11/2017 at about 0922 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a U-haul Moving van being driven on the bike path near Cape Arago Highway and Washington Road in the Barview District of Coos Bay.  The pathway is not designated for motor vehicle use. The operator of the vehicle, Robert Connolly, 32 years old of Coquille, was spoken to and during the investigation it was learned he did not have a valid driver’s license.  During the furtherance of the investigation, Mr. Connolly consented to a search of his person and a backpack.  Drug related items and ammunition were located.  It was learned Mr. Connolly is not to be in possession of ammunition. As a result of the investigation, Robert Connolly was arrested for Felon in Possession of a firearm (ammunition) and probation violation.  His bail for the possession of a firearm is $25,000.00. There are also charges of theft, burglary, and drug possession which are being followed up on as a result of the stop.  Additional charges are pending.
