After a short foot chase, Deputy Mong and Officers with the Coos Bay Police and Coquille Tribal Police were able to take Mr. Patterson into custody. An investigation was conducted into the original incident of the disturbance, and as a result, Mr. Patterson was arrested on the charges of domestic menacing and domestic strangulation. Additional charges are expected due to Mr. Patterson’s conduct with Deputy Mong. Jason Patterson (22) was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he is currently in custody.
