CCSO report, Sept. 29

Harassment
News release CCSO.  Narrative: On September 27, 2017, at about 1830 hours, deputies arrived at 91038 Cape Arago HWY for a reported dispute. Deputies spoke with Susan Nelson who stated she was hit in the head by her boyfriend, Don Alatalo. Susan said her husband was not dealing well with the death of a friend. Susan said Don was making threats to throw her into the well and she became very fearful of him. Susan was able to leave the residence and flee across the street to a neighbor to call 911. Deputies attempted to speak with Don about the incident and he refused to cooperate and stated nothing happened and it was all made up. Deputies arrested Don Alatalo, 58 years old of Coos Bay, for the above listed charges under the Domestic Abuse Act and he was taken to the Coos County Jail. Alatalo was booked, lodged and held on $20,000.00 bail.

Interfering & Resisting
News release CCSO.  On September 27, 2017, at about 2317 hours, deputies arrived at 701 SE 6th AVE #15 in Coquille. Another resident in the trailer park called and stated they could hear a female yelling for help. Officers from Coquille Police also responded and assisted. While deputies were attempting to interview the involved parties, Eric Slagle attempted to re-enter the trailer after being instructed to stay outside and speak with officers. Slagle refused to comply with these orders and tried to pull away from the grip of a Coquille officer attempting to keep him outside. Once Slagle was advised he was under arrest, he resisted these efforts by trying to pull away from officers and get back inside his trailer. Slagle was arrested for the above charges and taken to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and lodged on $20,000.00 bail.
