CCSO release – Date/Time: May 20th, 2024, around 12:40 pm; Case #: 202400011644; Classification: Warrant Service; Location: City of Powers; Suspect(s): Michael Hutton (41); Summary: Expired Tags Lead to Arrest of Wanted Man in Powers Traffic Stop; During a patrol in Powers on May 20th, 2024, at approximately 12:40 pm, Deputy J. Lee noticed an ’86 Ford truck with expired registration tags. A traffic stop was initiated to address the violation. Upon interaction with the vehicle’s two male occupants, Deputy Lee discovered that the passenger, 41-year-old Michael Hutton, was potentially wanted on an arrest warrant. Coos County Dispatch verified the warrant as active, leading to Mr. Hutton’s arrest. Deputy Lee then transported Mr. Hutton to the Coos County Jail, where he was formally booked, processed, and lodged.

Theft, Lakeside
CCSO release – Date/Time: May 18th, 2024, around 1:02 pm; Case #: 202400011490; Classification: Theft, Parole Warrant Service; Location: McKay’s in Lakeside; Suspect(s): Joseph Perry (40) / Celeste Pike (45); Summary: Shoplifting Duo Caught at McKay’s; Female Suspect Arrested on Parole Warrant; At 1:02 pm on May 18th, 2024, a theft involving two suspects with a large bag was reported at McKay’s in Lakeside. Deputy M.R. Smith responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. Upon his arrival, Deputy Smith found the suspects inside the store. Security confronted them as they attempted to leave. The suspects, identified as Joseph Perry, 40, and Celeste Pike, 45, were found with the stolen items in their possession, which were promptly returned to McKay’s. Both individuals received criminal citations for Theft in the Third Degree and Conspiracy to Commit a C Misdemeanor. Additionally, Ms. Pike was discovered to have an outstanding warrant from the State Parole Board. She was arrested and taken to the Coos County Jail to be booked, processed, and lodged.
