Stolen Dealership Vehicle Recovered

Sheriff’s Deputy locates stolen vehicle on patrol before the car is reported stolen by dealership. On November 3rd, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. Deputy H. Francis was conducting patrol through the area of S. Spring Road near Caraway Lane when she observed a newer black 2019 Ford Escape with dealer plates from Tower Ford. The vehicle did not have an Oregon DMV temporary tag. Due to patrolling the area frequently, Deputy Francis noted this was very odd, and the vehicle was partly parked in the roadway of S. Spring Road. Deputy Francis inquired from local law enforcement agencies and residents in the area to determine vehicle ownership. Deputy Francis was advised no one knew the vehicle’s owner, and none of the locals owned it. Deputy Francis ultimately decided to have the car towed from the location due to her investigation. Later that day, Deputy T. Hansen contacted Tower Ford and advised them of the odd circumstances surrounding the Ford Escape. After providing Tower Ford with the vehicle identification number (VIN), they checked their inventory and noticed the vehicle had been stolen. Tower Ford was advised the now recovered stolen vehicle was located at Mast Brothers in Coos Bay and would be available for them to reclaim at their leisure.
Warrant Service, Charleston
CCSO release – Date / Time: November 3rd at 9:30 a.m.; Case Number(s): 2023-00032185; Classification: Warrant Service / False info to Police; Location: Seaport R.V. Park, Charleston; Suspect(s): Joseph Fuller (48); Disturbance call leads to a man’s arrest on an outstanding felony warrant and a new charge of giving false info to a police officer. On November 3rd, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of a disturbance in progress at Seaport R.V. Park in Charleston. Deputy H. Francis responded and contacted the female victim, who advised the suspect had fled the location on foot. Deputy Francis checked the area for the suspect and located him on the Charleston Bridge. The suspect initially provided Deputy Francis with a fictitious name; however, through her investigation, she determined the suspect was Joseph Fuller (48) of Coos Bay. Dispatch advised Mr. Fuller had a valid felony warrant for his arrest. Joseph Fuller (48) was arrested on the outstanding warrant after it was confirmed and charged additionally with False Info to Police for providing a false name. Mr. Fuller was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody.
