CCSO report – Date / Time: March 29th, 2024, 2:37 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00007398; Classification: Violation of Restraining Order x4; Location: N. Olive Road (Barview); Suspect(s): Trisha R. Dean (37). Female arrested on (4) counts of violation of a restraining order, after call for assistance. On March 29th, 2024, at 12:09 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of multiple violations of a restraining order on N. Olive Road in Barview. Deputy A. Burgo responded and investigated the incident. Deputy Burgo then located the suspect, Trisha R. Dean (37), near North Bend and interviewed her. After an investigation, Trisha R. Dean (37) was arrested on (4) counts of Violation of a Restraining Order. Mrs. Dean was transported to the Coos County Jail, where she was booked and remains in custody.

Stolen Vehicle, Barview
CCSO Report – Date / Time: March 30th, 2024, 12:03 a.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00007471; Classification: Stolen Vehicle / Warrant Service; Location: Travis Lane (Barview); Suspect(s): Daniel A. Cowan (50); Deputy locates a stolen vehicle on patrol and a Male with outstanding warrants is the driver. On March 30th, 2024, at 12:03 a.m., Deputy S. Starr was on patrol in Barview, Coos County. While in the area, Deputy Starr observed a white box van commit a traffic violation and stopped the vehicle on Travis Lane near S. Barview Road. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center immediately advised Deputy Starr. The box van was reported stolen out of Lane County. Deputy Starr contacted the operator, Daniel A. Cowan (50), and a record check revealed he had a valid warrant for his arrest. Mr. Cowan was placed under arrest on the outstanding warrant and charged additionally with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Driving While Suspended, both Misdemeanors. He was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody.

Probation Violation, Libby Lane
CCSO Report – Date / Time: March 28th, 2024 7:36 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00007357; Classification: Probation Violation / Open Container; Location: Libby Lane Mile Marker 3; Suspect(s): Jeffery B. Archer (62); Male nearly strikes Sheriff’s Deputy directing traffic at crash scene, found to have open container of alcohol in cup holder. Subsequently arrested for probation violation and cited for open container. On March 28th, 2024, at 7:35 p.m., a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy was directing traffic at a crash scene when he was nearly struck by a vehicle that failed to stop. The Deputy successfully avoided being hit and was able to flag the man over. Once stopped, the vehicle operator, Jeffery B. Archer (62), had an open beer ¾ full in his drink holder and was irate with the Deputy. A record check revealed Mr. Archer was on supervised probation, with a no alcohol stipulation. After an investigation, Jeffery B. Archer (62) was arrested on the charge of probation violation and cited for an open container of alcohol. Mr. Archer was transported to the Reedsport jail, where he remains in custody.
