Assault, Lakeside
CCSO release – Date/Time: May 6th, 2024, around 10:45 pm; Case #: 2024-10532; Classification: Assault; Location: Highway 101, Lakeside; Suspect(s): Wylder Labart (18) / Tryton Labart (20). Summary: Brothers Arrested After Assault in Lakeside. On May 6th, 2024, around 10:45 pm, Coos County Dispatch received a report of an assault at a residence in Lakeside. Deputies B. Freerksen and Z. Smith responded to investigate. While Deputies responded to the residence, it was learned that the two suspects, Wylder Labart (18) and Tryton Labart (20), had fled the scene in a white Ford pickup headed north on Highway 101. Upon their arrival, it was learned that the suspects had shown up at the residence demanding money or the keys to a vehicle that the victim owned. Probable cause was issued for the arrest of the Labart brothers and multiple agencies attempted to locate them and the vehicle they fled the scene in. The suspects were later located by the Reedsport Police Department and arrested for their involvement in the assault. Both men were transported to the Coos County Jail to be booked and lodged for the following alleged crimes: Assault in the Third Degree, Assault in the Fourth Degree, Strangulation, and Attempted Assault in the Second Degree. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police, and Reedsport Police Department for their help with the investigation and arrest of the suspects. Warrant Arrest, Riverton Rd., Coquille
CCSO release – Date/Time: May 9th, 2024, around 2:11 pm; Case #: 2024-10735; Classification: Warrant Service; Location: Riverton Road, Coquille; Suspect(s): Sarah Noah (46). Summary: Observant Deputy Arrests Wanted Woman. On May 9th, 2024, at around 2:11 pm, while working regular patrol duties, Deputy H. Francis observed a female subject that she knew to have a valid warrant in front of a residence on Riverton Rd in Coquille. Deputy Francis knew the female to be Sarah Noah (46), of Coos County. Deputy Francis confirmed with Coos County Dispatch that there was an active warrant for Ms. Noah’s arrest and exited her vehicle to contact her. Ms. Noah was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Coos County Jail to be booked and processed on the active warrant. Good work Deputy Francis!
DUII East Bay Rd.
CCSO release – Date/Time: May 8th, 2024, around 11:40 pm; Case #: 2024-10694; Classification: DUII; Location: Highway 101 and East Bay Rd; Suspect(s): Scotty Jacobi (43); Summary: Driver Arrested for DUII After Sleeping at Stop Light. On May 8th, 2024, around 11:40 pm, Coos County Dispatch received a 911 call for an unconscious male in the driver seat of a white pickup truck at the stop light located at Highway 101 and East Bay Road. Deputy B. Freerksen responded to investigate. When Deputy Freerksen arrived, he found Scotty Jacobi (44) sleeping in the driver’s seat. Mr. Jacobi was awoken and evaluated by Emergency Medical Personnel. Deputy Freerksen quickly noted signs of intoxication and began evaluating Mr. Jacobi for Driving Under the Influence. The ensuing investigation resulted in Mr. Jacobi being placed under arrest for DUII. Following standard procedure, Mr. Jacobi was issued a criminal citation for DUII and released to the care of a sober adult.
Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle
CCSO release – Date/Time: May 11th, 2024, around 1:45 pm; Case #: 2024-10898; Classification: Unauthorized use of Motor Vehicle; Location: Oregon Lane, North Bend; Suspect(s): Aaron Nordholm (58); Summary: Coos County Man Arrested After Stealing Jet Ski and Trailer. On May 11th, 2024, around 1:45 pm, Coos County Dispatch received a call regarding the location of a stolen trailer and a Wave Runner Jet Ski. It was reported that the trailer and jet ski were being towed behind a white pickup truck that had turned onto Oregon Lane in the Cooston area of East Bay Rd. Deputy H. Francis responded to investigate. When Deputy Francis arrived, she spoke with witnesses and located the truck, trailer, and jet ski outside of a residence on Oregon Lane. It was further learned that the trailer and jet ski were stolen on May 7th around 9:11 pm. The owner of the white truck, Aaron Nordholm (58), was located on the property and taken into custody by Deputy Francis. Mr. Nordholm was arrested and taken to the Coos County Jail to be booked and processed for the crimes of unauthorized use of a Motor Vehicle, Theft in the First Degree, and two counts of Possessing a stolen vehicle. Due to overriding factors and bed availability that the jail supervisor accounted for, Mr. Nordholm was held in custody pending arraignment.
