Warrant Service, Bunker Hill
CCSO report – Date / Time: August 7th, 2023, around 5:30 pm; Case Number(s): 202300023987; Classification: Warrant Service; Location: Bunkerhill area; Suspect(s): Kirstan Dillon (34). Wanted Coos County woman arrested by Deputy she spat blood on last August. Earlier this month, Deputy Z. Smith learned that Kirstan Dillon (34) worked at a business in Bunkerhill and that she had an active felony warrant for her arrest from an incident in August 2022. During that incident, Deputy Smith had arrested Kirstan after she had spit blood and saliva on him. At the time, Kirstan was released as directed by Senate Bill 48. On August 7th, 2023, around 5:30 pm, Deputy Smith located Kirstan at her place of employment. After speaking with the store manager and advising him of the situation so he could find coverage for her shift, Kirstan was arrested on the warrant without incident. Deputy Smith transported Kirstan to the Coos County Jail, where she was booked and subsequently released due to overcrowding issues. The Coos County Jail only has (11) beds available for women, and after a security assessment of those in custody, Kirstan was the appropriate option for release at this time. Although she was released, hopefully, this reminded her that failure to appear in court does not eliminate the effect her actions had on those she victimized, and should she fail to appear again, a Coos County Deputy will locate her.
