Unauthorized Use
Carlisle Ln., CCSO release – On June 28th, 2019 at 5:14 AM, Deputies with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to 93789 Carlisle Lane, Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon for a reported female running into a business, bleeding heavily, and who had been involved in a dispute. Upon the Deputie’s arrival, the female, later identified as 36 year old Tiffany Martinez, was attempting to steal a Hyster. Tiffany had crashed into some boxes and was stuck, with the tires spinning. The female was extracted from the fork lift and placed into custody. Tiffany was very erratic and it was suspected Tiffany was in a drug induced psychosis. After further investigation, it was discovered Tiffany had ran into a business while acting in a disorderly manner. The employees had ushered her out when Tiffany had stolen the Hyster and moved it a short distance. Tiffany was transported to the Coos County Jail and lodged. This matter is being investigated further.

Warrant Service
Troller Rd., CCSO release – On June 27th, 2019 at 2021 hours, a Deputy with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near Troller Road and Cape Arago Highway in Coos Bay, for a traffic infraction. The Deputy checked the occupants through the state and national database and discovered a passenger, 38 year old Jamie L. Tackett, had an active warrant out for her arrest out of Curry County. Jamie was taken into custody without incident. Jamie was transported to the Coos County Jail and lodged pending transportation to Curry County.

Death Investigation
CCSO release – UPDATED: On June 27, 2019 at 1000 hours, the aforementioned deceased female was identified via fingerprints. The name of the 61 year old female is not being released pending locating and notifying next of kin. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office appreciates the information callers provided regarding the case.  On June 25, 2019 at 1421 hours, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of deceased female located off of Alaska Packers Way in Charleston, Oregon. Alaska Packers Way is the roadway that creates the protective jetty around the Charleston Marina. Citizens had located a deceased female in the rocks of the jetty entering the Marina. The death was determined to be an accidental death by the Coos County Medical Examiner. The deceased female did not possess any identification on her person. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding the identity of the female. The deceased female is 55 to 60 years of age, approximately 5’-3” in height, 160 lbs in weight, short grey hair, no tattoos, wearing distinctive jewelry. At the time of her discovery the deceased female was wearing Nike running shoes gray in color, black pants, and a blue hooded sweat shirt with the Winnie-the-Pooh character “Eeyore” depicted on it. Warrant Service
Boat Basin Rd., CCSO release – June 26th, 2019 at 1847 hours, a Deputy with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling outside the Seaport RV Park in Charleston. The Deputy observed and recognized 44 year old Jennifer Stenton in the driveway of the Seaport RV Park. The Deputy checked Jennifer through the state and national database and learned she had active warrants out for her arrest. The Deputy and a Captain contacted Jennifer and advised her she was under arrest. Jennifer reached underneath her shirt and into her waist band. The Deputy put his hand on Jennifer’s hand to determine if she had a weapon. The Deputy and the Captain attempted to place Jennifer under arrest but she continued to pull away. Eventually Jennifer was taken into custody. Jennifer was lodged for one warrant charging Failure to Appear in the Second Degree, and another warrant charging Resisting Arrest, Interfering with a Police Officer, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree, and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. Jennifer received an additional new charge of Resisting Arrest.

Probable Cause
Pelican Rd., CCSO release – On Tuesday, June 25th, 2019, at approximately 10:52 pm, a Coos County Sheriff Deputy was actively patrolling Boat Basin Rd, when the Deputy observed a blue Ford Ranger with a white canopy parked at Bandon Pacific Seafood’s. The Deputy knew from a prior traffic stop the vehicle belonged to 47 year old Steven Sossman of North Bend. The Deputy knew and confirmed with dispatch there was still probable cause for Stevens’s arrest. The Deputy was able to locate Steven inside the facility and place Steven under arrest for Violation of a Restraining Order. Steven was transported to the Coos County Jail where he was booked and lodged.
