Assault IV (Domestic)
CCSO release – Location: 63650 Martin Drive, Coos Bay; Suspect(s): Wayne Wood, 68 years old; Narrative: On March 20, 2022, at about 12:57 PM, a report of a disturbance occurring on Martin Drive was made by both Wayne and his wife to the Coos County Dispatch Center. A Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy responded and conducted an
investigation. After speaking to all parties involved and a witness at the scene, it was determined Wayne Wood had assaulted his wife. Wayne was arrested for Assault IV (Domestic) and transported to the Coos County Jail where he was booked and released to jail staff.
Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Criminal Mischief I, Recklessly Endangering Another Person (2 counts), Menacing
CCSO release – Location: S. Barview Road near Windy Lane; Suspect(s): Dustin Burford 38 years old. Narrative: On March 21, 2022, at about 1:11 PM, a Sergeant from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident which had occurred on March 17, 2022 on S. Barview Road near Windy Lane. The Deputy noted the victim’s vehicle had been struck by shotgun pellets. The investigation revealed that 38 year old Dustin Burford had shot the victim’s vehicle while it was occupied by two persons. Burford was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail where he was booked and released to the jail staff.
