Touch A Truck Event at MP
CCSO release – Members of the Sheriff’s Office have a blast with kids at the annual “Touch a Truck” event in Myrtle Point. On May 13, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Sgt Smith & Boswell and Deputies Gray, Kent, Churchill, and K9 Poe attended “Touch a Truck” at the Myrtle Point Fairgrounds. This event allowed kids, young and old (adults), to explore the vehicles, cranes, excavators, fire trucks, power trucks (electrical), Sheriff’s trucks, boats, and other items used by professionals in their day-to-day operations who live and work in Coos County. The kids had a great time, asking questions, sounding sirens, climbing on the vehicles, and blowing the free whistle’s given away by our Marine Division. (We expect complaints from parents coming in later tonight). It was a great day, and we would like to thank the Myrtle Point Chamber of Commerce for asking us to participate in this fun event. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
