Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into last Wednesday evening’s fatal pedestrian-involved crash that occurred on Jasper-Lowell Road near Highway 58. The crash resulted in the death of a 15-year old female from the Lowell area. On February 5, 2014 at about 6:06 p.m., a 1986 Ford pickup driven by DANIEL ROLEY CORP JR, age 57, from Dexter, was northbound on Jasper-Lowell road about a quarter mile from the Highway 58 intersection. As COPR observed three persons in the darkness on the shoulder of the road on a bike, scooter and a skateboard, he steered to the left to safely move around them and then collided with a female juvenile in the middle of the roadway. CORP immediately stopped his pickup at the scene and provided first aid to the female juvenile until EMS arrived at the scene. KELSEY LEE COLLINS, age 15, from Lowell, received fatal injuries as a result of being struck by the pickup.
