Central Coast School Threat not Viable, May 30

News release LCSO.  Over the holiday weekend, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of threats to students at the Siletz Valley School made by another student. After our investigation, we have determined the threat was not credible. Our investigation has identified the juvenile student involved. Both the student and the student’s family have been fully cooperative with investigators. We have determined the student does not have the means or intent to carry out the threat as described. As a further precaution, the student’s family has elected to remove the student from school for the remainder of the year. Deputies will be in and around the school at various times when school resumes. We are coordinating with the school administrators, the involved student, and the student’s family to ensure the safety of all those at the Siletz Valley School.
